Siding

Siding is the skin of your house. Siding is usually wood (clapboard or shingle), aluminum, vinyl or hardboard (masonite, cement fiber or asbestos) clapboard or shingles. Most need maintenance, caulking and painting, particularly on dormers and other above the roof areas. Soffits are the areas under the roof overhangs and are usually made of wood and painted or covered with aluminum. The attic ventilation intake vents are usually located in the soffit. Gutter and or roof eave leaks can cause soffits to rot and deteriorate. Fick Bros. can inspect, maintain, repair and paint your existing soffits, or install new soffits made from maintenance free materials.

Shutters were designed to protect and shade the windows and were made of wood, which required constant maintenance and painting. While some shutters are still functional, the improvement in window technology has relegated most shutters to cosmetic status. Fick Bros. can maintain, paint and repair your existing shutters or replace them with new maintenance free shutters, either functional or cosmetic.
