Department: Production
Title: Production Manager
Reports to: Executive Vice President
Supports: Field, Administration, Sales
Position under direct supervision: Field Supervisor, Foreman, Mechanics, and Apprentices

- Qualified as Working Foreman or Project Manager.
- Successfully demonstrates good communication and negotiating skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Ability to motivate others and him/her self.
- Organizational skills. (set priorities, follow up)
- Foresight to avoid problems before they occur.
- Computer skills.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Manpower development
- Hires and develop field personnel.
- Schedules and conducts yearly reviews.
- Coordinates training requirements for field personnel.
- Termination, within company policy and guidelines.
- Job scheduling
- Build and maintain the "Production Board"
- Pre-Construction planning
- Orders materials and schedules it for delivery
- Schedules field personnel
- Schedules equipment (dumpsters, etc.)
- Coordinates job with foreman
- Approves field payroll
- Manages job through successful and profitable completion within the job budget.
- Payment
- Assists in prompt receipt of payments made by owner
- Develops strategy for obtaining change orders
- Assists in pricing and specifications of change order
- Sells change order
- Job safety
- Assures job is properly posted with the required notices.
- Assures foreman adhere to safety guidelines.
- Assures each job is planned to minimize risk.
- Assures all safety equipment is at the job site and in working order.
- Locates nearest emergency telephone and emergency services.
- Reports any incidents immediately to his superior.
- Responsible to have foreman file incident report.
- Quality/Productivity
- Knows manufacturer's specifications
- Knows job specifications
- Knows performance standards established for the job
- Assures job progresses according to plan
- Maintains good working relationship with the owner and manufacturer
- Improves quality by suggesting profitable change orders
- Maintains good communication with the owner to inform them when job is scheduled, ordered, started, completed, or delayed.
- Other related duties as required (Management reserves the right to add duties at any time)
