Valley Forge, PA April 10, 1998 – CertainTeed Corporation’s Roofing Products Group, one of the country’s leading manufacturers of asphalt shingles, is pleased to announce that Jeffrey P. Fick has been designated a “Master Shingle Applicatorä Wizard” in the company’s technical education program.

Certainteed’s Shingle Applicator confers “Wizard” status to roofing professionals who successfully complete a written test on asphalt-shingle product quality and application techniques as detailed in Certainteed’s “Master Shingle Applicator Manual.”  This 144-page booklet provides a comprehensive overview of asphalt shingles, from product components and design features to price considerations and warranty provisions.  Master Shingle Applicators are required to requalify each year by passing an updated Quality Master exam.

Jeffrey P. Fick, who has served the Baltimore area for 24 years, is one of a select number of roofing professionals in the country to have advanced to Master Shingle Applicator status.
